Topological data analysis
The course will be proposed for the academic year 2024/2025.
Short course description: First part of the course will be an introduction to topology. The second will be devoted to a new interdisciplinary field on the borderline of Mathematics and Computer Science called Topological Data Analysis. The focus will be on the two basic constructions: persistent homology and the Mapper algorithm. Some outputs of this construction are included below.
